Utility providers like Genesis, Mercury and Transpower and phone providers like Spark and One NZ provide your payment history to credit reporting agencies. Set up a direct debit for your bills so you don't miss any payments.

I had a query from a bank where the clients were missing quite a few bill payments.

The home loan application was strong both from a deposit and affordability point of view. The clients were paying their bills manually and were not that organised with their finances. The application was approved after an undertaking from the clients that they will set up direct debits in future to cover their bill payments.
